Can't register new users

Paolo Tramontani	Wednesday 08 October 2003 1:13:53 am Hi, I installed 3.2 stable in Windows with the windows installer and I installed all available templates (bookshop, corporate, forum, gallery, demo, intranet, ...) I noticed that all these sites use the standard login and register templates: but when I try to register me as a new user, I insert all data (first, last, login, email, pwd, confirm pwd) and I click ok, then the browser works for some minutes and display these fatal errors: Maximum execution time of 300 seconds exceeded in c:\ezpublish\ezpublish\lib\ezutils\classes\ezdebug.php on line 1466 Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 300 seconds exceeded in c:\ezpublish\ezpublish\lib\ezutils\classes\ezexecution.php on line 157 Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 300 seconds exceeded in c:\ezpublish\ezpublish\lib\ezutils\classes\ezsession.php on line 75 Warning: Unknown(): A session is active. You cannot change the session module's ini settings at this time. in Unknown on line 0 This happens for all sites I already examined and for the site which I'm working on (They all point to index.php/sitename/user/register) Can someone help me? Valentin Svelland	Wednesday 08 October 2003 12:29:50 pm I had this problem once trying out the solution on my crappy old Linux-server in the basement. The errors were simply due to slow processing and the fact that this violated the x number of seconds your system is set to before returning a timeout.. Search the forum for timeout.. I solved the problem that way, all though I recommend trying out eZ Publish on a faster platform or perhaps with php optimizing in place... Also, I should point out that the timeout could be due to other problems with your installation? Maybe some others can help out here? Post some information on your hardware and system settings as well, and you'll get better answers I guess. Good luck! :) ------------------------ I made eZ run on www.eigersund.kommune.no, bjerkreim.kommune.no, lund.kommune.no and sokndal.kommune.no. Municipalities should use open source!

The platform is: a Win2000 Server (test machine) in a local area network with the Apache, php, mysql installed by the ezPublish win2k installer. The response of this machine is in general very fast (for all other navigations on the site) so I wonder it can't register a user in 5 minutes!!! So I think there's another kind of problem... In a previous installation I had the 3.2 beta 1 in another machine (installed by the same way) and I had the same problem.
