hi there,

i just built a pretty big directory structure in the content section. placed a few bookmarks and everything worked very nice.

but after changing the name of one of the root folders the book marks don't work anymore, they still refer to the old name.

so i created another root folder (i am using 4) and moved the whole tree starting from the second highest folder into the new root folder. the level 1,2 folders are correct now, but level 3,4,.. still point to the old, original, already deleted root folder.

any idea on how to fix this?

Can't you just remove the old bookmarks and add new ones?

The bookmark handling page is found in the admin page under the Personal tab, or enter /content/bookmark in your site.

Jan, that isn't a very logical solution, nor is it user-friendly. If a large site undergoes a little re-organization, some editors could lose a lot of time updating bookmarks that were created to save them time in the first place. Plus, if people decide to open up bookmarks to users/customers the problem is magnified.

I know the folks at eZ systems have a lot of tasks, but I humbly suggest that the in due time the bookmarks be revised to ensure they are updated when a page is moved.
