author without email

Use an override template instead. *} {section var=Authors loop=$attribute.content.author_list sequence=array( bglight, bgdark )} {$Authors.item.name\|wash( xhtml )} <{$Authors.item.email\|wash( email )}>{delimiter},{/delimiter} {/section} So you can create a file design/<your_design>/templates/content/datatype/view/ezauthor.tpl and delete the mail things or put an {if} araound it.
