Admin tree menu - performances impact

Hi,

I have a 3.6.4 ezP install with a class of 400 objects in one folder.
When the admin tree menu is "on" it slow down a lot the server (huge charge).
Is there some fine tuning to perform before I remove it from the admin ?

How can I exclude classes from the menu ? (another alternative)

This extention isn't a stable version, if you're in a production configuration I suggest this

http://ez.no/community/contribs/hacks/ajax_treemenu_on_demand_tree_menu

but the ezjaxx_ajax is more powerfull ;)
