a few random basic questions

This is my 3rd attempt within about one year to get a grip on ezPublish 3 ;). The "Building an eZ publish site"-Tutorial shed some light on some issues I didn't understand before, but there are still a few basic questions left:

- Taking the Example from the above mentioned tutorial, I wonder how the head of the TSCM-Chess Club could administer his new site. Obviously simply providing him with access to the tscm_admin interface wouldn't do any good - especially if there are more sites running on the same ezPublish Installation ;) and this leads to the next basic question:

- During the tutorial one has to make use the of process "find a template in the template list->create a new empty one based on an existing one->fill that template". Am I right with the assumption, that in "reality" this is not the way to create new templates, since there is no possibility to filter and/or search the template list and therefore it is very likely that one would have to browse the whole template list to find a specific one?

Thanks to anyone who can shed some more light ;)

That's the spirit. Don't give up! :-)

We could give the bloke access to the administration interface of the TSCM site. This could be done either by creating a new login/user called "clubhead" or by simply giving away the login/password combination of the admin user.

eZ publish is capable of handling/running several sites from within the same installation. This is achieved through the siteaccess subsystem. This system makes it possible to handling/host multiple sites including multiple administration interfaces. See? There is no problem to set up 4 sites with for example 6 administration interfaces (assuming that 2 of the sites need two different admin interfaces).

As for the template-question: the template-override part of the web-based administration interface isn't 100% user friendly, it will be improved in the future. Some people find it easier to use and to understand than manipulating the override file manually. This is why we've used it within the first parts of the tutorial. You can also set up the overrides by editing the "override.ini.append" file of the siteaccess in question. This technique is described within the "Guestbook" part of the tutorial.

I hope this helps.
