webdav requires frontpage extension?

But any MS built dav client will think that it is talking to ms frontpage when accessing files/folders over webdav, and try to access the frontpage specific files. That means you will end up with a lot of harmless errors in your webserver logs. Otoh, you should not see those error messages within the client.
