i've installed a lot of php apps but can not get this thing working. One issue, and install doc and that's it, no instructions for basic usage. The instructions if there are any can't be found on your site. I have found some instructions but they are extremely brief and vague. ALL I want is to know how to get started? Namely where in god's name is the admin page??? I've tried my ezportal path /admin and get a blank page. is that even supposed to be where it is? How can there not be a newbie usersguide? I mean really, "how to get started" -after install go to the admin url which is url blah blah and begin configuring your new site. I've wasted half a day on this, can anyone help me before I go insane?

chekout here for starter:
http://ez.no/developer/ez_publish_3/documentation/installation
like me yetserday you will probably want the NORMAL install, but..
to add to this before you run the wizard make sure you set permissions on 3 folders recursively:

var/* (recursive)
settings/* (recursive)
design/* (recursive)

I set them to 777 using CHMOD (should be a function on your FTP program) and all files under these directories.

then - make sure your MySQL database is ready (that its there ready to use and have your Servername (usually 'localhost' or the name of your DB) Username and password.

Now you can begin assuming you have transfered all the files and folders to your public_html (whatever your root area is) folder or one under this.

now refer to this document:

http://ez.no/developer/ez_publish_3/documentation/installation/the_setup_wizard

once finished entering the info, the wizard will give you the 'user' and 'admin' links to use and the username and passowrd to access the admin area to get started....

I have some small probs to get through, but nothing I havent found in other similar systems...

NOTE: to re-start the wizard again - I had to delete the 'settings' folder on the server and re-transfer these files and folder back over - then the wizard started up again ....viola !

Dimitri (I did get anoyed at one point - but the rule is keep the defaults until it works and then try the customisations such as working on your Apache config or php.ini - always backup as well :)
