I just spent a large chunk of last night trying to document just how you would "build" eZ publish using svn sources. I wrote up a (very ruff) draft of my findings for you all to comment on: http://download.ezpublishhosting.com/ezideas/building_ezpublish_from_svn_sources_v1-3.txt I basically document just what dependencies are involved in the process and the steps required, along with commonly encountered problems with the process ... The document starts to go bad towards the end where a lack of sleep and repeated build failures had me running in circles trying to figure out how to resolve these breakdowns. I guess I was wondering if anyone (out side of eZ systems) has done this before? I also wonder if anyone who has done this successfully might be willing to shed some light on the subject of just how to do this. My document is a start in the right direction (more than I've ever seen before here on ez.no) but it runs into critical breakdowns towards the end which result in incomplete builds. What is eZ system's stance on the documentation or lack there of on this process? And/Or the hard coding of eZ systems internal (password protected) resources like svn.ez.no / zev.ez.no instead of optional parameters? I was trying to use the svn stable/3.6 sources available from http://pubsvn.ez.no/nextgen/stable/3.6 //kracker MST3k : Using Your Voice
