I have set up ezpublish on my server. Everything went well , then this message appeared.
Warning: Failed opening 'lib/ezdb/classes/ezdb.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php:/ezpublish/') in /www.********.co.uk/ezpublish/lib/ezutils/classes/ezsession.php on line 75

i have checked open_basedir and safe_mode_include_dir , these both have no value which i presume means that there are no restrictions.

Anyway, php installation is php v 4.1.2 . My service provider is running "high performance Linux based servers with high quality Zeus server software. "

The permissins are on the files you specified are Owner read, write execute, group read, execute and everyone, read,execute.. But any file permissions that needed to be changed (according to the installer) i have changed.

also not sure what you mean by ownweship.

many thanks

Could you try to do a:
chmod -R a+r lib kernel
this will make all files in kernel and lib readable by all users on the server (including the web server). Are there still problems?
