It would be interesting to have a description of your problem with your solution in the forums. Mabye someone else can benefit from this later on.

The problem I had was not related to apache or the server. In fact my 2003 server with eZ publish 3.3-3 is now faster than my 2000 server.

The problem I had was related to proxy settings in Internet explorer. I have an "exeption" list where the dns suffix for my eZ site is entered. My new test site used an IP adress instead of the dns, resulting in proxy usage for one site and no proxy for the other site. Adding my ip-suffix (ie. 10.10.1.*) into exception list, solved my problem. (sorry for loading ez forum with bytes)

Conclusion:
On a clean installed of windows 2003 server standard and eZ publish 3.3-3 installed (using installer), gives quite good performance. I'm looking forward to install Linux on a identical HW and see if I can get even better performance.

Thanks,

you can definetly expect it to be faster on linux. In all our test cases linux is the fastest OS for eZ publish.
