Site copied -> search does not find any hits

Hi, i have a strange issue here, maybe someone can give me a hint:
I copied an existing 3.4.1 installation to some other server (including the DB). I changed the owner of the files, did the Virtualhost setup etc. This seemed to work fine.
Now, i enabled the setup wizard, because i wanted to clean the data and set up a new site. I choose the same DB, let ez delete all data in there, installed a new site (2 new siteaccess names) and finished.
Now, everything works fine, but the search engine always returns "0 hits". The indexing seems to work fine, the ezsearch table's contents looks fine.
I'm almost sure, that the installation is okay.
Any hints?
I'm using Apache 2 and MySQL 4.0 now, vs. Apache 1.3, MySQL 3.xx on the old server.
Does the search so some "special" SQL maybe?
Any hints are appreciated.

So, just type the question and the solution will appear ;)

I checked the SQL permissions, and that's it:
The user, that i use the acces the DB, was created by Confixx (3). It does NOT have the privilege "CREATE TEMPORARY TABLES".
After i granted this, the search works.
It seems, as this privilege is new to MySQL 4, at least it does not appear in phpMyAdmin for my MySQL 3 server.
