Problems with manual install

Hello
I'm trying to add a site access after install. I have created a database and granted access rights. I aslo have created the siceaccess folder in settings and design. Site.ini is also updated.

Here the problem starts. Earlier I could just "pipe" in the sql file lying in the kernel\sql\mysql folder.

I looked in the http://ez.no/developer/ez_publish_3/documentation/installation/manual_installation/manual_configuration_of_ez_publish but the sql is not mentioned at all. How do you do manual install? I tried to pipe in the kernel_schema and cleandata and it looked to work, but the problem is that the root folder is missing. Everything else seems to work. Why is this so? Why is not the root folder created? How can I create it.
PS! I use the windows installed version.

Could you explain what you mean by the root folder being missing? Do you mean in the admin interface?

You could also try adding some of the template data (e.g. news.sql, intranet.sql) these just sit on top of kernelschema.sql.

The root folder is the topmost folder, no matter if you are in admin or user part of the site.

I know it will work when I install from a package.
But what I want is a clean install and a way to add new "clean" sites after going live with others, and based on the same ez-data.
