hello, i have installed ez publish and when i go to the admin side of things the content list is empty and the user list is empty even when i add content and add users - is this normal? how can i tell if the install was successful? according to the documentation, this is not right.

Many thanks for any pointers.

just to clarify my original post, the left hand side shows 'Content structure' and a 'Home' node but no tree underneath this as expected

for user accounts, the left-hand side shows ' User accounts' and 'Users' but no tree structure of users...

Hi Nicholas, welcome to the eZ Community!

Which version of eZ Publish are you using? In 3.10 a new dynamic tree menu (Ajax-based) is introduced, but I'm unsure if it gets enabled by default or not and if this could be the cause of your problems.

hello Kristof, yes i am using 3.10.0 so where do i turn this functionality on/off? also, should this actually be enabled by default in the product to avoid confusion such as I have encountered? many thanks for any pointers.

the documentation states:
1.
Open the "contentstructuremenu.ini.append.php" configuration file located in the "settings/siteaccess/example_admin" directory (replace "example_admin" with the actual name of your admin siteaccess) and edit it. If the file does not exist, create it.
2.
Add the following lines under the "[TreeMenu]" section:

[TreeMenu]
Dynamic=enabled

unfortunately i do not have access to the install files since it is on a server machine so is there any other way of enabling this feature? if not, i wilj have to re-install locally

nope still no joy. I am extremely frustrated with this product now.

The feature is enabled in the config file but the hierarchy tree is not shown for menu or users.

Please advise.
