Hi, I will like to know if it is possible to have several "user" sites all managed from the same "admin" site. User sites will be different but could share some content among them.

For example one site is for health, and other for hipertension. I will like to create an article about hipertension that could go to the hipertension website, but could also be in a hipertension related section in the more general health site. This could be extended to more sites with the same idea.

Is it this possible?

Regards,
Luis

Hey,

This is possible. You would have to use the same database for all your content. You would typically separate the different parts/sites by using different folders, sections and so on. The point is that everything would be in the same database. You could set up the following siteaccesses:

-Health (using design "health" and DB "my_database")
-Hipertension (using design "hipertension" and DB "my_database")
-Admin (using design "admin" and DB "my_database")

In addition, all siteaccesses would have to use the same var directory so that images & stuff are available for all of them. Use the host matching feature (configurable from site.ini) to set up the access rules:

www.health.example.com ---> uses siteaccess health
www.hiperstion.example.com ---> uses siteaccess hiperstion
www.admin.example.com ---> uses siteaccess admin

If you need to have the content in separate databases then I'd like to suggest that you check out this product (made by one of our cool partners):

Cheers!
