Hi!
Our company wants to switch several websites to eZ Publish platform. Unfortunately, at the moment we will have to run IIS and Apache simultaneously on our server and we know how to setup this.
We are confused with eZ Publish requirements. It is said that if we want to run this on Windows platform we should use Apache 1.3.x. On the other hand, in the apache installation guide it says NOT to use 1.3.x version of their web server on Windows but go for 2.2.x instead because of huge security improvements. Furthermore, searching this forum I found out that there are cases of eZ 3.8.6 running on latest Apache web server versions on Windows!?! Can someone please elaborate on this? What are the pros and cons? I am aware it would be best not to host it on Windows but, as we have to, which configuration is least evil? Any thoughts and comments from eZ Publish users that run this on Windows would be greatly appreciated!
