I have upgrade to 4.2 but error are no longer logged

You should contact the System Administrator () of this site. The current transaction ID is TRANSID-c14494a4d1ccc16974f9a25025268d5d and has been logged. Please include the transaction ID and the name of the current script when contacting the system administrator. In the past this would be int the error log file. But now they are not to be found. Any ideas on this one? My error log doed populate with other errors like missing images.
