Ok, I'm a newbie I know... need help here.

My system: Win XP + IIS 5 + PHP 4.3.2 + MySQL Server (I know, it would be better a Red Hat + Apache, but this system works fine for all my PHP/MySQL apps).

I follow the "Building a eZPublish site" tutorial step by step (I swear it), and always i get the same error after istallation. Configuration goes fine, no error there, but when it shows the 2 urls that will link to "plain" and "plain_admin" sites, I click on them and 404 not found error shows up! The url, would be something like:

http://localhost/sitename.net/index.php/plain
http://localhost/sitename.net/index.php/plain_admin

If I just go to the main index (http://localhost/sitename.net/) I get a "eZPublish - Plain design" page where all links also fail. I set the "Site access config: URL" and follow every step in the tutorial. What might be wrong? Any ideas?

Can you feel it Mr. Anderson? Closing in on you? Oh I can, I really should thank you after all. It was, after all, it was your life that taught me the purpose of all life. Purpose of life is to end.

This may help. I had the same problem i think. I could access the plain site but none of the links would work, the admin site i couldn't access. I found out that my php install is running as a cgi and if I wanted to run it as an apache module i need to create and .htaccess file and put in it: RemoveHandler .php. the .htaccess file had to be placed in my home directory. It now works perfectly.

I get the same problem. I would like to test out ez publish, but this step has brickwalled my progress. I'm using Verio as my host. Any thoughts?
