Go to your admin site and use <i>admin</i> as your user and <i>publish</i> as your password. Getting to your admin site can be different depending on how you set your installation up. Odds are good that it would be www.YOURSITE.com/admin/ but if you chose to use a subdomain or port, then you will need to access them via those addresses XXXX.YOURSITE.com or www.yoursite.com:XXXX. Sub the subdomain name or port number for the X's.

I tried all those but nothing works! I used the corporate demo when I installed.

Also, how do I make index.php the main website page. It is currently in the EZ main dir but need to be in my apache root I guess.

OK when I go to this link: http://www.serendipityshots.com/my_site/index.php/corporate_admin
I get this:

"Error / kernel (21)

View not found
The requested view login could not be found in module user
Possible reasons for this is.
The view name was misspelled, try changing the url.
The view does not exist for the module user.
This site uses siteaccess matching in the url and you didn't supply one, try inserting a siteaccess name before the module in the url . "

Any help??

Hmm seems strange. I went here but never got the login prompt

http://www.serendipityshots.com/my_site/index.php/corporate_admin/

Maybee someone else can you a bit farther with that info.

By the way, your site is WIDE open. Apped .php to ALL *.ini files in "my_site/settings/siteaccess/", or activate the .htaccess file in your ez folder. Read more about security in the install help.

Cheers

I have never used this program before so I dont know anything about security yet ... Im just trying to simply log into the admin side. I just dont understand why its so complicated ... do i need to reinstall it?

Thanks for the security heads up.

Recently my provider updated the server and now i can't login anymore.
I think this is a platform problem (DB & Files are not corrupted).

Hi Wynne

I have looked at your installation, I can not find any errors. If it is not to much hassle I would do an reinstall.

Guys I have NEVER been able to login becuase I dont know where to go. I dont know what URL to type in that will take me to the admin login page. Again this is my first time to use this software. Can anyone tell me what URL to use to login????

I will try to re-install, thanks Tore.

EDIT: Ok I reinstalled and I am now able to login fine. Not sure what the deal was.

I tried it and I got database error. Try fixing the database connection first by editing:

settings/siteaccess/your_site/site.ini.append

Then log in with "admin" and "publish".

I am having similar problems, running Apache 2, PHP 4.3.5, MySQL 4.0.18-standard and installing several different versions of eZPublish 3 (3.3.4, 3.4.alpha3, etc.). When the install wizard completes, I get a page with links to both the user and the admin site. When I go to the admin site, I enter 'admin' and the password I provided to the wizard. The screen refreshes to a blank login page. If I try 'publish' as the password, I get an invalid password page.

I have enabled AcceptPathInfo (although the test in the installer can't ever find it). I've confirmed AcceptPathInfo is working as required, by going to a phpinfo page and adding /all/kinds/of/text/to/the/end/of/the/url.

Any ideas as to why I'm not getting any farther than the login page? This looks like it is a recuring problem, though the fixes have always involved doing something that I've already done (latest version of software, AcceptPathInfo, etc.). I'm at my wits end at this point... it shouldn't be this hard. :-\
