EzP versions 2 and 3 on the same Windows box?

I have EzP 2.9 set up and working via the installer on a Windows 2k server box with Apache as the web server. I use it to test and make design changes prior to uploading to my production site. I'd like to be able to set up the latest release of version 3 on the same box and switch between the two by simply running a script that I've used before to stop Apache, change the httpd.conf file and then restart Apache. The problem is that version 3 requires version 4.3.4 of PHP, and the version 2 installer installs PHP 4.3.1.

How do I go about upgrading PHP so I can run both ezPublish 2.9 and ezPublish 3.x?

Thanks.

I should have mentioned in my original post that the ezPublish version 3 installer installs a newer version of php, but the version of Apache that it installs cannot be stopped by using net stop Apache. I found it rather incredible in reading through the docs that come with that version of ezPublish that apparently the Apache that was used was "lifted" from a Drupal installation. What is that about?
