Hi,

We use ez 3.7.4 in a failover environment (2 Linux machines - one master and one slave - running the Heartbeat service). There is a filesytem synchronization between the master and the slave as well as a MySQL replication.

We encounter the following problems :

- Cache information is synchronized on the slave and generates bad displays of our web site on the slave (missing images),
- Due to the fact eZ logs user sessions in the DB, we have to import the DB on the slave after each switch on the slave in order to have mysql replication running.

Does release 3.8.3 brings improvment regarding this failover/cluster mode ?

Thanks in advance,

PO

Hi,

We have used Redhat server cluster on a project. It is pricey but does all the heavy lifting.
If you do not want to pay for Redhat then I know heartbeat can be setup to work if you want it for no money.
To resolve the var issue if you can, stretch to back end fibre storage that normally does the trick and is lovely and fast. Failing that a Crossover Gig cable into the nics can get you some of the way then you can rsync or mount an NFS location.
