Error on Last Page of Install: Attempt to Load URL failed

Natalie Young	Sunday 04 September 2005 3:26:02 pm Hoping someone can help me, I have tried the installation a dozen times here. I have uploaded/unpacked successfully. When running the installation wizard, i only get a few finetuning suggestions but it says that it will operate fine and I don't HAVE to make changes. I get all the way through the installation wizard, to the last registration page. When I hit next, it loads for a 20-30 secs and then I get the following error message "The attempt to load 'Accessing URL: <my cms site name here> failed." I have had my hosting company increase the time out to 90 sec, however it doesn't even process near that long. Anyway, they says that is not behaving like a time out anyway, and i've never gotten a time out error message. Anyone know what this is about? Is there an installation log somewhere that can tell me what errors occurred? here are some more details: I am only loading English language. I am on Mac OS X 10.3.9. Have also tried it on Camino browser, same things happens except I don't even gt the courtesy of an error message, the page just stalls . Using the 3.6.1 install. I have shell access, if needed, but I cannot edit the php.ini file directly (but my hosting company can do it for me). Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
