We are about to alter our server to support both php4.3 and 4.4 on our debian stable box. We currently run a single install of apache and php4 from apt-get.
Has any else already crossed this bridge on debian and if so could you please shed light on the technical approach you took.

Thank you

Hello,

Brendan, look on Derick's article about dual Apache installation with different PHP versions:

Thanks Lukasz

I had read Derick's article previously, but our techie has found plenty of linux challenges with the general process and has decided the safest / easiest way is on a seperate box build dedicated apache and php packages for the old versions and once happy then install that deb package on our server. Getting to that "once happy" stage is challenging and wondered if others have already crossed this bridge with debian.
