did anyone try out apache mod_authz_dbd?

It should be out with apache 2.3, and is basically a module that allows to execute custom queries to a database to fetch a group that connected users belong to (plus some nifty stuff for login/logout pages)

Did anybody try it out?

I think it should be interesting if it could be setup somehow so that access to static parts of the site are granted to ezpublish users, follwoing ezpublish rules, but without passing via php.

Good eg. for cluster / staticcache setups.
