Hi "someone",

According to the installation documentation found at http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/4_0/installation/normal_installation/requirements_for_doing_a_normal_installation, you shouldn't use apache 2.x on a windows based system cuz Apache 2 cannot be run in prefork mode (as far as I know...). Maybe this can helps...

Then, in your php.ini, check if you have correctly set the memory_limit & max_execution_time settings, maybe the execution didn't go through all the script and end abruptly. You could also enable display_error in your webserver configuration or check the apache log for instance...

Hope this helps,

Arnaud

Hi there !

I have the same configuration and same problem as "DefendmyName".
I installed the latest XAMPP v1.6.8 that includes Apache 2.2.9
MySQL 5.0.67 and PHP 5.2.6 + PHP 4.4.9 + PEAR...
Until now I had no problem to test Joomla 1.5, Wordpress v2.6.3 on my laptop with Vista and find disappointing that Ezpublish cannot be used in the same environment.
Not very friendly is the least we can say when a soft is already crashing during installation....
Tech team should see that if they want new users to join the community.

Cheers !

- please read carefully the installation requirements, in the "doc" section of ez.no, in the "technical manual" section
- modify your php.ini to have both display_errors and log_errors on
- if you come back with the php error message, chances are it will be fixed in next version of eZ Publish...
