Concept question: Where are users stored, when we use multiple Databases? (3.2)

Someone can give me a nice hint for that?
When I install 3.2 using the installer and select more than one package, I must select one distinct DB for each package (read: each siteaccess).
How is user handling done then? In which of the databases are the users stored? In each one individually?

Hmm, what I need is a setup, where users are registered in one place, but we need at least 2 or 3 Designs.
Should this be done with 2-3 siteaccesses or 1 siteaccess, one database and 3 sections... Can I assign a Design to a section? I think, no.

So, the question would be: How to set THIS szenario up?
What I need is more or less a setup as in the demo-sites of 2.x or 3.0 or 3.1: Different designs with ONE database (and thus one user management).

Sounds like you need to do some pen and paper work to determine which is the best course of action :)

I haven't tried the ez3.2 installer but from what i've heard and seen each package is installed with its own database. Users are stored with each database so their is no communication between each. However, using ldap may be a solution if you need to keep them seperate.

If you need 2,3 designs you need to determine if siteaccess is the route you need to take or to use sections. A single database will suffice.
