I love eZ! so much better than Nuke...
anyway,
Sorry to ask a silly question but i have read through the posts and docs as best I can and I cannot find an answer. I'm building a site and I want to change the ezpublish directory name. of course,you can't just do that otherwise the stylesheets & links won't work.
I want to change
mysite.tld/path/index.php
to mysite.tld/newpath/index.php
I've modified both the site.ini.append.php files in the news & admin folder, but the something else needs to be done b/c the links all still say "path" I've searched through all of the files for content that has "/path" but can only find these files. Many thanks for suggestions, i'm very stuck on this problem!

Sadly, I've wasted an entire day working on this. Any help would sincerely be appreciated. again, is there another file i need to modify beside the site access files?
i didn't see anything in the override settings... is there a lib file or something i need to fix, or is this not possible at all?

Thanx to both for the suggestions, but i did try refreshing the cache several times, and as far as the server is concerned 1) i'm on a shared host so i don't htink i can restart and 2) I wouldn't see other changes implemented, which i do.
this is really driving me nuts! Regards, Trent.

So i was able to change the folder name by moding the .htaccess file. however, this isn't an option as the links don't work... Is there something in the override folder that needs to be adjusted, or some other file? as it stands, the following is only in the site.ini.append.php file in settings/siteaccess/mysite
[SiteSettings]
SiteName=News
SiteURL=site.org/newpath LoginPage=embedded

i'm still working on this issue, and i want to post exactly what i've changed so maybe someone can point out something specificially that i've done wrong.
I've modded the following files
siteaccess/mysite/site.ini.append.php siteaccess/mysite_admin/site.ini.apppend.php (there are no site.ini.append files there) i've also changed the site url on the override/site.ini.append.php file, but i don't think this one matters. ( i haven't added the code below..tried that and nothing worked)
[SiteSettings]
SiteName=News
SiteURL=www.mysite.com/newpathname/index.php (also tried /newpathname/ & /newpathname )
LoginPage=embedded

I resolved this issue and for future generations of Ez users, I'm posting my response here: To change the name of the path folder, first mod your site.ini.append.php files found in siteaccess/mysite and siteaccess/mysite_admin There's one line in the site access settings that pertains to this. simply modify the folder. Next, you have to rename the folder, and then manually delete the cache found in var/mysite/cache delete all these files and you're good to go. you have to rename the folder before you delete the cache, and after you rename the folder you can't automatically delete the cache! that's a real cache-22! okay, bad pun. sorry.
