Hi everybody!

I have successfully installed ezPublish 3.6.1 on my Suse Linux based Server. I must admit, that I'm a Linux Newbie. Apparently I have ImageMagick installed , because, when I enter /usr/bin/convert logo: logo.gif the output is a graphic which I can view in my browser.

Now during the installation routine I inputed /usr/bin/ in the ImageMagick-path, but system still couldn't recognize.

Then I pressed "ignore" to complete the installation.

Then afterwards I went to the Admin-area "ini-Settings" to correct image.ini

In there I changed in "ImageMagick (13)" the array "ExecutablePath" from "" to "/usr/bin/" and set " IsEnabled" from "false" to "true".

I can see the flowers in the gallery on the frontend, but it don't get's resized after I clicked on those flowers (what it normally does).

It already has worked before, but I can't bring it back to live :-(

Also I don't know where to find ImageMagick (installation path on my linux server either), probably that's part of the answer ?!?

Pls help, since this costs me hours now :-(

Cheers

Matthias

This?

And after changing ini, clear cache?

Hi Ekke,

my image.ini.append/.php in /settings/override reads:

<?php /* #?ini charset="iso-8859-1"?

[ImageMagick]
IsEnabled=true
ExecutablePath=/usr/bin

*/ ?>

ImageMagick was *not* detected by the setup guide!

You can see the page here: http://www.onbeauty.de

And I have re-checked: convert is in folder /usr/bin (which is the absolute path not in the htdocs-directory of onbeauty.de)

Cheers

Hi Ekke!

That's a good question acutally :-)

After I tried it over and over with the flower pictures and checked functionality of IM from the command-line I'll uploaded an image into the Gallery myself - and guess what it worked. Then I (first time) checked out the Landscape Folder Images and found out that resize works as well. I was under the impression that the flower images are resized as well, but all out of the sudden the system shows the thumbnail version only.

Thank you!!!

Yes I changed to Mambo. Yesterday my installation blown up, because of Versioning. I deleted 3 older Versions and then the site wasn't accessable any longer. My major reason was the slow speed on my machine. I really love ez Publish, but on my hardware (even though using Accelerator etc) it's way to slow and I don't want to invest in a larger Server for ca. 40 Euros additional, for a non-profit-website.

Cheers
