can I delete the var folder?

nigel dodd	Monday 14 February 2005 1:04:18 pm I am setting up WinCVS to control the versioning of the various files I edit (mostly .ini, .tpl and .php). My question is: can I exclude all the files under var from the versioning and backup process? Are they all able to be regenerated? I am afraid I do not have the courage to delete the var folder just to see if this is true in case it messes up the database or some other aspect of ezPublish.
