Hello Guys,

i have installed the latest stable ezPublish Version on my Root Server (Suse Linux) running Apache 2 and MySQL 4 with PHP 4.3.3, SafeMode OFF,...

When I installed ezPublish, I got the Errors 'SafeMode = On' and something else, but it wasn't correct, Safe Mode is OFF!!! I've ignored the Errors, walked through the Installtion Process until Step 100%. eZPublish install said, that everything was okay...

Now, when I want to run ezPublish User or Admin Area, i get the following error:

kernel (50)
No database connection could be made, the system might not behave properly.

What does it mean?? The Database Connection must exist, because the Installation Process was okay?? Can someone help me??

Where are the Configuration Files with the Database User and Password are located??

Also, when I rename the .htaccess_root to .htaccess for Security Issues, I get an Error 403 and no Site could be found!

Hope, someone can help me?

It's very urgend!!

Thanks,

1.) check files

setttings/siteaccess/site.ini*
setttings/override/site.ini*
Double Check right login data to db

2.)
setup your apache with AllowOverride . I think this will solve the htaccesss isssue
