i installed ez 3 on apache 2.0.46 over windows xp. ez installed just fine and i can access index.php/user but not index.php or index.php/admin. apache returns an error before a 404 notice. there's a part in the "troubleshooting" section that encourages to install apache 1.3 instead but this version that does not work well with NT (or XP) unlike version 2. my setup is just for a local testing server. will try re-installing but perhaps someone has already ran into such a problem. please help.

What error does Apache return?

i gave up on apache 2 and installed 1.3.27 instead with php 4.32 in windows xp. i can see the demo site but 404 page on any of the links in the demo site. also in index.php/user or index.php/admin. i already tried up the memory limit in php.ini to 20M as suggested to no avail. is the patch offered somewhere in this forum would do with php 4.32? please help. thanks.

I use eZ in Linux server, not on any M$ platforms

Currently I run eZ publish 3.1 on apache 1.3.27 + php 4.3.2, Gentoo Linux without any problems.

I think u should strictly follow the instructions as stated in doc/INSTALL

The truth is that the installation manual does not say that apache 1.3 must be used strictly. In fact, the following line is extracted from the manual:

(apache 2.0 works, but it is not well tested)

That means it works, so at least it should start.
