Workflow assigned to user group, possible?

I see that you can assign a workflow to an individual but can I assign a workflow to an entire user group? (existing and future members) TIA Can you feel it Mr. Anderson? Closing in on you? Wouldn't it be nice to assign a User Group a workflow, so that any content created and sent to publish by anyone that belongs to this group will always need to be validated previously by a higher level user?
