Hi Folks,
does anybody really use Webdav access to ezPublish out there?
I'd like to use it to upload and update files. We have WinNT4 clients and an ez3.2 installation at the moment.
But I also tried with WinXP client and ez3.3 beta2.
I read, that Dreamweaver works as well as Webdrive, but I had no luck with eiter. So... does anyone use Webdav in production?

For Webdrive: I can connect, browse and download files and image (using the admin login data), i can upload small (10k) files, but when i try to upload bigger files, the upload freezes after about 80kb and I need to kill the webdrive task.
That means: I essentially cannot use it yet.
An important question: How do I update (create a new version) of an existing file/image?

Marco,

You can find some WebDAV-client-compatibility information here:
http://www.ez.no/developer/ez_publish_3/documentation/incoming/webdav_clients_and_compatiblity

Uploading larger files: the problem might be an Apache or a PHP configuration. Check your settings; if I remember correctly, you'll have to increase the upload/POST-data-limit.

Currently, the WebDAV subsystem does not support versioning. You can't "update" the contents of an object. You'll have to delete and upload the file again. Versioning will hopefully be implemented sometime in the near future (same goes for better access control).

Hi,
I had read the compatibility list.
I will try to increase the PHP limit sizes, but: I can upload the files without any problems with the webinterface...

Well, when WebDAV does not support versioning, it's pretty much useless for us.
Please include this info (updating not yet supported) in the doc, Balazs.
