Hi,
I have upgraded from 3.2-3 to 3.3-1 and have the same cache and storage directory as before, but now I only get error messages when ez tries to get the images and files. What has happened. Did I forget to do something? Is there a new storage structure in this version? Im grateful for any tip in this matter. Please reply if you might now something.

regards,
claÜs

Hi ClaÜs,

did you altered the ezimage.tpl in design/standard/templates/datatype/view/ ?

Or are you using some overrides of ezimage.tpl?

In version 3.3x there is a new way to show images in templates.

Kind regards,
Emil.

Best wishes,
Georg.

Yes,
3.3. introduces a new image system. This should be backward-compatible with 3.2.
Your error-messages sound like a missing image alias "original" (new thing in 3.3), so it's probably a config error.
See http://ez.no/developer/ez_publish_3/releases/ez_publish_3_3/new_image_system for more info about it.
Please tell us, if you find some solution.

Thats what I thought... I had the problem on a clean 3.3.1 dist, so I got the latest ezimage.tpl from the trunk(svn). But I didnt solve the problem as I was hoping. I read another thread on this problem where I got that idea. Now I might go back to the 3.2.4 instead, I dont want to use time on new stuff now. Do you have a clue? Have you recently upgraded a site from 3.2.x to 3.3.x?

Thank you for your attention!

Oh and also, images that I upload now on the new system works, its all the images from the old version's storage that will not work.

Cheers,
claÜs

Hi Claus,

yep, I've updated from 3.2.3 to 3.3, but I also use the latest trunk.

As I can remember, I had the same problem as you upgrading from 3.2.3 to 3.3 beta 1. But in 3.3 beta 2 it works.

I've had another error, apache crashed at my test-machine (windows pc), if I wanted to show an image, which had no name. I think, this bug is still there, but I am not sure. (The image alias handler couldn't work without an image-name) -> "name" means $node.name. (not filename)

But maybe your ini-settings are not correct?

--- my image.ini.append ----

[AliasSettings]
# Defines a list of aliases that are available to
# the template engine and other clients.
# The alias must be defined as a separate INI block.
AliasList[]
AliasList[]=reference
AliasList[]=small
AliasList[]=medium
AliasList[]=large
AliasList[]=rss

[medium]
Filters[]=geometry/scaledownonly=150;150

# Define customized image size
[ImageSizes]
Height[small]=150
Width[small]=150
Height[medium]=100
Width[medium]=150
Height[large]=400
Width[large]=300
Height[reference]=600
Width[reference]=600

Maybe that helps?

Kind regards,
Emil.

Best wishes,
Georg.
