I'm having a wierd problem with one of my sites. Several places I now see Sub items [20] and then the message "There are no sub items to display". The items show in the tree menu and on the public site. I have made NO adjustments to the admin interface so I starting to suspect I have ghosts in my computer...

When trying to locate the template used for sub items I turned off "relations" and "locations". When I turned "locations" off, the sub items magically appeared. I then turned "locations" on again and the sub items are still there. What's going on? Anyone seen this?

Hi Christian,

Is this in the admin-interface or user interface?

I think it is either because "show children" is not selected for the folder-class, or the "container" flag is not set in the content-class.

This is happening in the admin interface.

Actually, it's not a folder but a custom content class I made myself. I have several more instances of it where sub items are shown. The container flag is set, but the custom class does not have a show children flag. It does not occur with a pattern - only one of the instances is having this issue - and I can access it's children by url without problem. Through the tree menu as well.

This is a big problem since I use the admin interface without the treemenu since it slows the admin down unacceptably much (even with the ajax menu).

That is strange. So there is no apparent pattern for where it is shown, and not?

Did you do any changes to the admin interface templates?
Which version of eZ publish are you running?
Can you fetch the sub-elements in a template from the user-site? ( http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/3_8/templates/information_extraction )

It's eZP 3.8.1. I have not made any changes to admin templates, and I can successfully fetch nodes in the user site. In fact, everything works perfect, except that sometimes subnodes are not displayed in the admin?

Can you try to upgrade to 3.8.3? There has been some fixes, which might affect you.

All you need to do, is to download it, uncompress and copy all the files over your existing installation.

Hi,

this issue kinda just went away last fall. Now, however, it has returned. I am now using eZP 3.8.6, and I have not made any changes to admin-templates. The user site is functioning perfectly, but one node in the admin interface will not show its children even though it has 29 of them. I have tried to clear all caches and so on. Is this a bug? How can I repair it?
