zurgutt -	Wednesday 27 May 2009 5:07:03 am IRC is an essential channel for quick communication within any opensource project community, for newbies and seasoned veterans alike. Especially for new developers, the boost that people on irc can give is huge - it can make a difference from total frustration and giving up to beginnings of understanding and selection of ezp as development platform. It is therefore really unfortunate that IRC channel is not linked anywhere on the site where user might be expected to find it. I therefore strongly suggest that link to the information page about IRC channel should be added to the "Developer" pulldown menu. NOT in small script to some third level page - to the main menu! Community, please show your support in replies. Certified eZ developer looking for projects. zurgutt at gg.ee

How about having a more general 'Get involved' or "Plug in" section on share, where pointers to resources like IRC should be simply listed, plus a bunch of useful things to know when a new comer in the eZ Community wants to starts participating ? This page could include : IRC + other communication channels a revamped version of http://ez.no/developer/developer_information a link to the issue tracker, The point you raise here is part of the migation form ez.no/developer to share.ez.no.
