Howdy, I'm testing out the RSS capabilities of 3.3 and have a couple of questions. Hopefully someone can help me out. :)

1. Is it possible to display images that are a part of an RSS feed? For example if you view the feed available at http://hivelogic.com/index.xml one of the items (Snow) includes a picture which I would also like to have displayed on our site.

2. Is it possible to extend the available fields beyond Title, URL and Description? I would like to be able to include some of the Channel Element information that do not appear to be available at the moment.

Thanks,

Alex

Hi Alex,

I fear, that, for now, the answer is "no" to both questions ;)
The RSS import implementation in 3.3-1 works, but seems to be limited to fetching the most common fields of the feed (channel) and item tags.
I'm just judging from the GUI.
I guess, the fields, that you are talking about are optional, so if this will be supported later, ez (or the admin) must know, which fields should be imported (they may not be in the feed's items at the moment), where to stored them, and what to do, if they are missing.
I'd guess, that's not too much work, but i think, it's not in 3.3

Yeah, I had a feeling that was the case, but was hoping I was wrong. Ahh well.
