Hello,

I have a problem with the definition of roles for my users.

I have a page on my site which lists the content of a folder "Affairs" (we find in this folder 3000 folders "Affair 1", "Affair 2", etc.), with a link to each affair.

Each visitor can see one ore more affairs depending on its role... But I can't set it as I want it to be.

I tried to give to all users the right to "read" the "content" of the "Class folder", and then to "read" the "content" of the "nodes" correspondig to their affairs. The content of the list page should be :
Affaire 1
----------------------
Affaire 2
----------------------
.
But instead of this, I have :
-----------------
---------------------
---------------------
= 3000 lines, without details.
Do you know how I can set the roles up to do what I want please ?

Thanks !!!

If I am right, you say that the "Affairs" node are of class type "Folder", and that all these affairs are inside one Folder (I use "main node" for this folder).
If it is this way, and if you have set <i>the right to "read" the "content" of the "Class folder"</i>, it's normal that any user is allowed to see the main node and also all of the affairs!

One simple way for your needs is:
- create a new section and assign this section to the main node
- let any user see only the main node
- and then, add the right to read specifics nodes (for each affair) to each user.
Of course, if you still have a content/read/folder policy, remove it before testing this solution.

Regards.
