Notifications - do they apply to an object's children?

I was just wondering if notifications, or if it's possible for notifications to be setup so that subscribing to a folder would send updates when any of it's children are updated, or if a new child object is added.

I've only just started using ezPublish, so please forgive me if this is standard functionality.

Cheers!

I believe this is the case.

For example, on the ez.no site i think you if you click the 'Keep me notifieid' on the bug reports you will be notified if any bugs are added :)

I believe it applies to the immediate children of the subscribed to node.

So if you subscribe to the bug reports page you will be notified when bugs are (re)published but not if comments are added.

The subtree notification (which is the one used on ez.no) will give you updates to the entire subtree not just immediate children.
This means that if you click the "Keep me updated" on the bug list you will get notified with bugs and bug comments.
