Notifications - do they apply to an object's children?

Gavin James	Monday 27 October 2003 5:55:55 pm I was just wondering if notifications, or if it's possible for notifications to be setup so that subscribing to a folder would send updates when any of it's children are updated, or if a new child object is added. I've only just started using ezPublish, so please forgive me if this is standard functionality. Cheers! - Gavin
Paul Forsyth	Tuesday 28 October 2003 1:15:23 am I believe this is the case. For example, on the ez.no site i think you if you click the 'Keep me notifieid' on the bug reports you will be notified if any bugs are added :) paul
Bruce Morrison	Thursday 30 October 2003 11:53:22 pm I believe it applies to the immediate children of the subscribed to node. So if you subscribe to the bug reports page you will be notified when bugs are (re)published but not if comments are added. Jan Borsodi	Friday 31 October 2003 1:41:00 am The subtree notification (which is the one used on ez.no) will give you updates to the entire subtree not just immediate children.
