'+meta' appended to user_name of email address rejected

kracker (the)	Saturday 04 November 2006 4:21:01 pm I was surprised to notice today that it might not be possible to register an email address during user registration of this format: example+metafilter@example.com I suspect that this is a result of the email address validation that is performed during registration. Result being the format / email text is rejected and returned to user, ie: no +filter tags in my ezpublish email registration. The email address validation works good.

Perhaps you are interested in something like this:
