Hi,
I'm exploring the installer version, and I'm looking for a possibility to make the "shop" working as multilanguage site. I assume the template has to provide additional buttons or something else to access this functionality?
Which steps do I have to perform to make the standard shop multilingual? Thanks for help, Uli.

Hi Uli, you should set up a second siteaccess for the second language.
Have a look at this: http://ez.no/ez_publish/documentation/configuration/configuration/language_and_charset/how_to_setup_a_multilingual_site
The basic steps are:
1. Install eZ publish using the installer.
You might want to select the package "products". Choose the languages you want during setup process.
2. Setup second siteaccess.
This isn't supported by the installer, I guess.
The installer will finish with two siteaccesses, e.g. .../products and .../products_admin (for the administration interface).
To add a new siteaccess (let's call it "products_de") copy directory settings/siteaccess/products to settings/siteaccess/products_de and change the RegionalSettings in
settings/siteaccess/products_de/site.ini.append.php to your second language.
Add the new siteaccess name to settings/override/site.ini.append.php (AvailableSiteAccessList[]=products_de).
3. Fire up administration interface and translate an object/ product.
(Edit -> Tranlations -> Manage ...)
4. Clear the caches. 5. You should now be able to access your product in two languages.
Hope this helps, silke

Thank you, Silke, for your explanation.
I performed the steps as you told me.
I actually managed to type a translation at the end, however, the website does not display it. At the first glance, I'm missing a kind of language button as a part of the user frontend. Do the templates which come with the installer provide such buttons in case of a multilingual setup? I have to admit I did not understand completely the part of the documentation you gave me by link. Perhaps there is a solution included?

Hi, I really need an answer to this question:
How is it possible to make a installer version (for example "shop") multilingual?
Severel explanations here did not work (I still can't see multilingual content in the user interface). Where is a valid (!) step-by step explanation for version 3.4.2?

hi uli, you have to comment out the following parts (with the '#' mark) in settings/site.ini. otherwise ez would´nt use the settings for text translations.
[RegionalSettings]
#Locale=eng-GB
#HTTPLocale=
#ContentObjectLocale=eng-GB frank

I did this already, but there must be still another issue.
