Hi Neil

Welcome to the eZ community!

What was the problem, and how did you fix it? Just in case someone has the same problem and finds this topic...

Basically we were editing a "look and feel" template, for an unknown reason the update failed and this confused the system, it was looking for version 10 of template but it didn't exist.
Could the problem be linked to the fact that two of us were logged in at the same time using the same account, and editing the same template?

Here's what the guy who fixed it said was the problem and how he resolved it.

"backtraced the functions called, debugging each one - finally finding one that returns null when an sql query returns no results (the child functions weren't checking for this null return because it shouldn't arise ideally).

i then dumped the sql query that was failing to return any results and found that it was looking for version 10 of the UWESU Beta template when infact the versions only went up to 9

i'm thinking that maybe you and matt editing the template at the same time while using the same login might have had something to do with it. but the chances are 1 in a billion. you would have had to both press submit at the same time or something. But EZ should be locking tables to stop clashes happening. Might just have been a freak error. "
