I am using verion 3.4 stable and the built in Contact Us Form. The form works but the collected information for the email field is missing.
I searched the bugs and found a note about copying the eztext.tpl to ezemail.tpl which I did but the problem is still there.

Is there another known solution to this issue?

thanks

Hi Mazin, can you show us the template you are using? It might help someone identify the problem!

Cheers!

Hi,
I am using the template and form that came with the release.

The feedback form is of class: Feedback form
The template that is assigned to the class is: design/corporate/override/templates/collectedinfomail/feedback_form.tpl
The template content is:
{set-block scope=root variable=subject}{"Collected information from %1"|i18n("design/standard/content/edit",,array($collection.object.name))}{/set-block}

{set-block scope=root variable=email_receiver}{$object.data_map.recipient.content}{/set-block}

{* Set this to redirect to another node
{set-block scope=root variable=redirect_to_node_id}2{/set-block}
*}

{"The following information was collected:"|i18n("design/standard/content/edit")}

{section name=Attribute loop=$collection.attributes}
{$Attribute:item.contentclass_attribute_name}:
{$Attribute:item.data_text|wash}

Once the form is submitted, the email field is empty and the generated email also has the email field content missing.

Regards
{/section}

Hi Mazin, check to see if the email has been collected, go to the admin interface and navigate to "setup -> collected information".

<i>[EDIT] Changed "settings" to "setup", my bad</i>

In the table you should see under "name" the name of your form, at the end of the row there should be a number under "collections", click on the number and you should see a list of collections (depending on how many times you used the form).

<i>If there are no collections listed, go back to your feedback form, fill it out and submit it, then go back to collected info and it should be there.</i>

If you click on one of these collection id numbers the collected information from your form should be displayed, check to see if the email address has been collected, if not there could be a problem with the feedback form.

Cheers!

This is a very good tip since I didn't know where to look. However, I'm running into another issue; when I follow the directions, the settings links takes me to the Common ini settings. I haven't figured a way to get around that.

I will scan the forum for any info regarding that issue.

Thanks

Ohh, sorry Mazin that's my mistake, "settings" should in fact be "setup"!

So go to the setup tab in admin and from there go to collected information.

Sorry about that, there's so many paths and files to remember they all become a little blurry.

Cheers!
