Downscaling Admin-Interface?

hi,
I wonder if it is possible to create a simple, feature-less Admin-Interface for inexperienced users? Most features and areas with no access (role destriction) should be hidden from the user. Is there an easy way to do this with eZ Publish - or have we to write an entire new admin-fe?

thank!

The ideal solution is to write configurable system for this for the existing administration interface, so you can turn things on and off for various user groups.
However, this sounds simple but it is not in practice since speed and caching issues become a problem.

What you could do, is to copy the existing admin interface into another design and siteaccess. Then strip out the parts you don't want your users to see. This should be relatively simple...

ok, thanks. I thought downscaling the adminFE was a common request ... but, hm. Will see what we can do. If someone has a similar request a contact would be nice ... :)
