deleting objects - bug or feature?

Hi,

I've some problems with deleting objects. I don't know if it's a bug or a "feature". (I am using 3.2.3)

example:

--root node
-- folder 1 (main placement)
-- article 1 (main placement)
-- article 2 (main placement)
-- folder 2
-- folder 1 (2nd placement)

If I browse to "folder 2" and delete there "folder 1" the whole "folder 1" with its two articles is deleted.
(That's okay but not user friendly - only the node placement should be deleted not the whole content)

Okay, now I browse to the trash. "Folder 1" is there, I "undelete" Folder 1, give it a placement. But I didn't find "article 1" and "article 2" in the trash. Are they lost (deleted)? Or are they still in the database with no node placement? Is that a bug or a feature?

Kind regards,
Emil.

Best wishes,
Georg.

Oh, my whitespaces are lost in my post. The content tree looks like

--root node
----- folder 1 (main placement)
---------- article 1 (main placement)
---------- article 2 (main placement)
----- folder 2
---------- folder 1 (2nd placement)

(2nd folder 1 is a child of "folder 2")

Best wishes,
Georg.
