possible bug in ezxnewsletter

Hi,

I'm working on a site with ezxnewsletter installed. In the "user_settings" page when a user changes its html/text preference and clicks "update", it unsubscribes him from the newsletter! :(
The important file seems to be modules/newsletter/user_settings.php. I've made a diff of that file and the file from 1.0 and they are the same. I've made a recursive diff on all the extension and there are some differences between 1.0 and the code I have. It seems that
a) my version is a bit older than 1.0
or
b) the extension has been hacked

What do you think I should do? Try to install 1.0 and see if the bug is still here? Try to fix the bug? Use another version (is there a svn somewhere?)? Is it a known bug?

Cheers,

Olivier

Hi Olivier,

there was a preview version of the newsletter in the early days when it was in development. I don't know maybe you took that one.
But anyway, in the current version 1.5.1 we tried to make it much easier to use the extension. So that for the most things you don't have to customize much to fit your needs. Currently the setup is aimed to be installed as stand alone system (that of work together with another system by linking) or that you install it manually.
For the manual installation on an existing site a guide will follow describing this process.
The bug you've mentioned I wasnt able to reproduce yet with the 1.5 version.

Cheers,
Tobias

Ok, I didn't know about the 1.5.1 version. This page:
http://ez.no/community/contribs/applications/ez_newsletter/
says the last version is 1.0. Before making my diffs, I've downloaded the extension by clicking "Download contribution" on the previous page. I think I got the 1.0 version.

I'll try 1.5.1 and see if the bug disapears.

Thx for your time,
Olivier

Is ezxnewsletter 1.5.1 supposed to be compatible with ezpublish 3.8.4??

Hi Oliver,

have you problems by using it with 3.8.4? Can you these problems in the issue tracker? Then I will look into the problems asap.

Cheers,
Tobias

So far so good. No issue to report.
