How can I create custom layout of frontpage and global layout?

Where to read how to create custom layouts of eZ Flow?
I want to build a layout of 3 columns

|       |                     |         |
|       |                     |         |
|       |                     |         |
|       |                     |         |
|       |                     |         |
----------------------------------------
|                                       |
----------------------------------------

and to publish certain blocks on the main page
 and another set of blocks on the inside pages.

Is there a lesson, documentation or tutorial explaining how to create step by step layout of the blocks
The problem: in the administrative interface to manage the columns and blocks in columns

Hi Maxim,

 

             open zone.ini file and look at the existing zones . See how they are designed using css using some css analyser.

Create news zone file as the same way as the existing ones add zones as much as you need.It is the same way  as how you add custom blocks.
