What are the exact requirements for eZ Find + eZ Publish 4, especially in regard to PHP version? "Latest stable" sounds enigmatic and likely to change its meaning ;) I do remember that there was a plan to provide backward compatibility from PHP 5.2 to 5.1. Where are we at with this plan right now? I only managed to find the following info: http://ez.no/ezfind/requirements eZ Find for eZ Publish 4.x
Requirements:
* eZ Publish 4.x
* Latest stable PHP 5 release
* JRE 5.0 or later
Recommended:
* cURL PHP extension (to improve performance)

Hi The exact version required for eZ Find + eZ Publish 4 should be PHP 5.1.6 . This is the version bundled with RHEL 5, and we've got very strong incentives for supporting this version. I'll update the eZ Find requirements pages soon.

Thanks for your reply. I thought exactly so. I was trying to get it running with PHP 5.1.2 and came across several errors, but since the version could be blame for those, I'll try to update my server first.

Hi Don't hesitate to post the errors you got here. Even though we don't officially support 5.1.2, we always want our solutions to work on as many setups as possible.

Thanks, but too many things were wrong with that installation, so I decided not to air it after all ;) And it seems that I will not have to move back to 5.1 anymore.
But now I think I have checked everything I could with the new one, it seems like few steps further, but still not through - I moved it to a new topic: http://ez.no/developer/forum/extensions/ez_find/ez_publish_4_alpha2_classes_are_not_available Thanks

i passed the installation of ezfind but the requirement is ezcomponent 1.1 and pear structure package. if you don't install these packages , you can't execute autoload generation and ezfind don't work

ezcBase and PEAR are requirements of eZ Publish 4 alpha 2. These eZ Publish requirements are subject to change before the stable release.

Hi everyone, And what about hardware requirments ? How much memory is needed to run java process ? Does it depends on the number and size of sites indexed ? Thanks, Emmanuel.
