Thanks for this really neat new feature. A couple questions though :

Will there be a RSS feed for new proposed features ?

Should'nt a roadmap indicate a timeline, at least for the official one ?

Thanks again and keep up the good job :)

Hi Benjamin,

Excellent idea, i added this to the TODO. I will even make sure a social push is made upon publication of every new feature.

"

"

True. We are in the process of building this : the possibility to see per feature in the Official Roadmap, the candidate Enterprise Edition release.

Concerning the Community features, setting points in time is less relevant since the build pace is streamlined. Also, since by nature the capacity/availability in an open-source community is not fully reliable, we should look at introducing a sliding time scale, in case we absolutely want to have a timeline. Or simply rename the tool from eZ Roadmap to something else more descriptive.

Thank you too Benjamin. You have been one of the very active people in submitting pull-requests, please keep-up. We (eZ Engineering and the Community Project Board) have not always been 100% responsive in reviewing your pull-requests, but we love pull-requests, don't take us wrong. We "just" are suffering from the summer holidays syndrom :)

Cheers !

Nice!

A couple of nitpicks (well, you know me...) about the list view of features:

1) The sorting buttons separate the up/down arrow from the sort-by-column. This is counterintuitive - I've never seen it done like this on any other app - maybe putting the name of the column to sort by first and two small icons next to it would be better

2) Do not draw leading zeroes in the score. This makes me think the score is made up of 4 individual single-digit values, instead of one value that can go from 0 to 9999. Ps: can it go to 10000? Our template's bust in that case!

3) remove the big "ID: XXX" label from the title, as it is not very useful/important. Put it in the left-hand block

4) always show the link to the discussion forum for every issue, even when there are 0, to facilitate dropping into the discussion directly from the list view

ps: other feature requests:

. clicking on the tags at the bottom of a feature does nothing

. add a way to link features between themselves, similar to what is done in issue tracker (eg a feture can be part of another, or related to)

. add a field to every feature request where to put links to corresponding issues in the tracker

Thanks Gaetano.

I just detailed the way to report issues on eZ Roadmap, based on your request over skype. Could you please (sorry for duplicating the work) file these issues in there ?

The explanation : http://share.ez.no/community-project/ez-roadmap-description-faq#11

Thanks !

Hi all,

I have submitted my first feature request a few days ago. After the submit it took some time until it appeared on the roadmap. Since then it is "pending for review". What does that exactly mean? Is this part of the moderation process until we can start pushing it?

It would be nice if we could find some words about the "pending for review" thing in the FAQ to make this clearer. I would like to associate this status with an explanation (which maybe already exists?) in the FAQ.

As you can see I can't wait to start working with the roadmap and I'm excited to see how it will take effect on the community (and eZ Publish). Good job!

Cheers

Hi Niko,

First of all : it is pretty cool to see you participate like this, keep them coming !

Secondly, indeed the status is "Pending Review", meaning it is not possible for others to either "+1" it or even click the "Participate" button. This is an issue we are in the process of solving on our side : a more energetic moderation.

Stay tuned sir,
Cheers,

Hi all and thank you, Nicolas!

I've found some duplicated feature requests:

http://share.ez.no/feature-requests/attribute-group-based-permissions

http://share.ez.no/feature-requests/attribute-group-based-permissions2

http://share.ez.no/feature-requests/multi-binary-file-datatype2

Maybe there're more?

Greetings

Niko
