There's a bug in the ezxmltext that comes with xmlarea (I think). Specifically, when using the new OpenOffice 2 Import feature, I get an SQL error when trying to edit an import OO2 document with XMLArea active. If I turn it off, all works fine. The SQL error is triggered by
"SELECT * FROM ezurl WHERE id IN()"
as for some reason, the ID will be empty.

Hello all,
When I press "toggle edit mode" button, russian characters becomes something like this: %u0440%u0443%u0441%u0441%u043A%u0438%u0439 %u0442%u0435%u043A%u0441%u0442 How can i make display russion characters correctly?

Hi! It seems there's an error when links are displayed or entered in xmltext fields. If you try to link some part of the text to a URL (mailto, http, etc.) following edits of the same object fail with an SQL error like this:
SELECT * FROM ezurl WHERE id IN ( )
Making impossible to ever edit this item again. If you comment lines 591 and 2199 of xmlareainput.php and line 53 of xmlareaoutput.php then it's possible to edit the content but the link is lost. Please fix this or give more detailed info on how to repair this error. Thanks!

XMLarea overrides templatecompiling settings. If this value is removed, it messes up the input field/template totally. Have anyone been successful in combining XMLarea and templateCompile? related to my post here: http://ez.no/community/forum/developer/ez_publish_going_slow_and_hangs_when_publishing_content/re_ez_publish_going_slow_and_hangs_when_publis [EDIT: http://ez.no/community/forum/developer/xmlarea_extension_development/re_xmlarea_extension_development__106 >> fixed the problem ] Also: using english as default language ' is being translated into %u2019, which is mildy said irritating when im typing in lots of names like O'Reilly, so on... [EDIT: unbelivable! 1. fix fixed this too!]

Hi STEVO, <quote>i think 3.6 is the problem it's got a new object + link spec.</quote> Do you know where I can find the details for this spec? I'm able to run xmlarea on 3.6.1, but I'm experiencing some issues with links and objects like you're suggesting.
Sincerely,
Eirik Alfstad Johansen

I think that this bug has something to do with XMLArea: http://ez.no/community/forum/developer/mysql_syntax_error_while_editing_object I'm using ez 3.7.0rc1, so maybe it's the incompatibility that's causing the problem. If so, can this porblem be fixed, and is that a version od XMLArea that works with eZ 3.7?

I am working on improving this to be compatible with 3.6+ now, links and objects are working fine as far as I can tell I'd like to commit the changes to xmlarea-for-36, but I have not received any responses from the pubsvn community admin.

I think trunk should contain this code, while the old code can be branched into release/branch but STEVO+ should permit us to do that first

I have a question about the <object> tag is it deprecated by the <embed> one in eZ 3.6+?

Hi everybody, I'm using ezpublish 3.7.2 and xmlarea-for-3.6 is working fine except when I try to insert objects: I get 'undefined' instead of an image (for example). could somebody help me?
Thanks. Rodrigo

Hi Liu,
I think that <object> tag is deprecated. XMLArea should use <embed> tag instead of <object>.
Thanks, Tompson

Rodrigo Pinheiro: just fixed a bug with IE. However, as your report was so unclear, I do not know whether that's your issue

i have a little bug and no ideas for fix it:
i edited text with ' character in a xmltext; when viewing it in public web it appears like his entity. I have tested many combinations (switching on/off xmleditor... ' instead of ') nothing works. Any ideas?? thanks

hello all. sorry for my absence on this thread + almost non-existant recent development of xmlarea. i've just been too busy with other things. my thanks to everyone who's been using and improving xmlarea.
liu:
> I think trunk should contain this code, while the > old code can be branched into release/branch > but STEVO+ should permit us to do that first consider yourself permitted! it would be great if we could start to merge everyone's tweaks together on pubsvn. cheers, stevo
