Can ez output xml (self defined) using the template system? Or should I use an other approach Cheers, Ruud.

Do you mean, you have an XML structure and you want to have ezPublish render this?
You might want to look at this contribution: http://ez.no/developer/ez_publish_3/contributions/xslttemplate_operator "Contribution" means: It's not built-in, but someone has extended ezPublish and makes his/her work available to the community.

No, I would like ez to output xml (instead of html). The xml will be rendered by an other client system. Ruud

That's possible, You don't use the attribute_view_gui, but access the xml content directly and put it in the output stream. Any more details about what you need to do? -paul

Has there been any thoughts or work to send output from EZPublish to XML/Docbook?

The structure of my xml is created by ez on the bases of the content. So, ez templates do not generate xhtml but my xml (self defined) structure. My question really is: can I use the ez templates for this purpose or should I developpe my own. It could be compared to RSS output or PDF output, I guess... Any help appreciated Cheers, Ruud.

The ez template system allows you to do anything. Without any changes the output may have any xml output you like. As mentioned, avoid using the attibute_view_gui. Thanx for the tip. cheers, Ruud
